Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Whizit-Go Studios LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use the Whizit application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide
When you create an account and use the App, you provide us with your email address (used for account authentication), password (stored securely and never accessible to us in plain text), and user-created content. This content includes container and item names, storage locations, photos you take or upload, packing lists, moving boxes, lending records (such as a recipient's name and the date an item was lent), and any other inventory data you choose to enter.
b. Information Collected Automatically
We do not collect analytics data, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or behavioral tracking data. The only data stored is what you directly create or submit through the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to create and manage your account, provide and maintain the App's features, authenticate your identity when you sign in, store and sync your inventory data and photos across your devices, respond to support requests, and send transactional emails such as password reset links and email verification.
3. How We Store Your Information
Your account and inventory data are stored using Supabase, a third-party database, authentication, and file-storage provider. Photos you add are uploaded to Supabase's secure cloud file storage; the rest of your data is held in Supabase's database. Access to your data and photos is restricted to your own authenticated account through per-user access controls, so other users cannot view your content. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. For more information on Supabase's data practices, visit supabase.com/privacy.
4. Device Permissions
With your permission, the App accesses your device camera to take photos of containers and items and to scan QR / WZ codes, and your photo library to attach existing photos. These permissions are used only when you actively choose to take a photo, attach an image, or scan a code. Photos you add through the App are stored in your account as described above; we do not access your camera or photo library in the background.
5. Payments
If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store under their respective terms. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We may receive confirmation of your subscription status to manage access to premium features.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data and stored photos are permanently deleted from our systems within a reasonable period. You may request deletion at any time through the Settings section of the App or by contacting us.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication and password hashing through Supabase, and per-user access controls that isolate your data and photos from other users. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and associated data, and export your data where technically feasible. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@whizit.app.
9. Children's Privacy
Whizit is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Third-Party Services
The App uses Supabase for database storage, file storage, and user authentication (supabase.com), and the Apple App Store or Google Play Store for subscription payments. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App or by email.
